Delegate to a NodeStake validator with Keplr

A five-minute walkthrough for delegating any Cosmos-SDK asset to our validator identity, with gas, redelegation and unbonding notes.

Delegate to a NodeStake validator with Keplr

This walks through delegating a Cosmos-SDK asset to NodeStake using the Keplr browser wallet. The steps are identical across the 50+ networks we validate; only validator-address and gas token differ.

Before you start

  • Install the Keplr extension and create or import a wallet.
  • Fund the account with the chain's staking token plus a small buffer for gas.
  • Open our Networks index and find the chain you want to delegate on; copy the listed validator address.

Steps

  1. Open Keplr and switch the active network to your target chain. If the chain isn't listed, use the "Add chain" flow from the Keplr settings and let the registry auto-populate.
  2. Navigate to the chain's official staking interface or to our Networks page; click Delegate.
  3. Paste the NodeStake validator address for that chain. Confirm the validator name and commission match.
  4. Enter the amount to delegate. Leave a small balance unstaked to cover gas for future redelegations or votes.
  5. Review the transaction in Keplr — check fee, memo and destination. Confirm.
  6. Wait for one block; the delegation is active immediately and starts accruing rewards from the next block.

Notes on redelegation and unbonding

  • Redelegation (moving stake from one validator to another) is instant but triggers a cooldown on the source validator. Check the chain's redelegation window before cycling.
  • Unbonding takes 14–28 days on most Cosmos chains; during unbonding your tokens don't earn rewards and can still be slashed for infractions from that window.
  • Rewards accumulate until you explicitly claim them. Automating claim + restake is what REStake is for (see our Networks index).

If something goes wrong

If the delegation transaction fails, the most common cause is insufficient gas. Raise the gas limit or adjust the fee. If the validator address isn't found, confirm you're on the right chain — a validator address is chain-specific.

Stuck beyond that? Reach out via the Contact page with your transaction hash; we'll take a look.

About NodeStake

NodeStake is an institutional-grade validator and infrastructure operator running 50+ networks with $420M+ in delegated stake. Founded in 2019 with a perfect no-slashing record, we operate the full stack — validators, IBC relayers, public RPC endpoints, snapshots, and custom chain infrastructure — for protocols, foundations and institutional delegators across the Cosmos, EVM and emerging L1 ecosystems.
